Walk & Talk therapy sessions on Destin/Miramar Beaches will be offered for select clients with the appropriate consent.

While I’ve received extensive training in cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure, and other modalities for trauma, my go-to treatment is Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

This is a similar model to EMDR in which I am also trained and experienced, but I find that outcomes are quicker and more sustainable with this more directive approach.

Trauma work will be informed by neuroscience and somatic experiencing, as well as CBT principles. Those with complex trauma may have a chornically activated nervous system (i.e. easily slipping into a fight/flight/freeze/fawn/disassosication/numb) response so this is often a key focus. Underpinning our therapeutic relationship is my conviction that distress and trauma are subjective (i.e. does not matter what the distressing event was - if it evoked a response, let's address it), and you deserve to live your optimal quality of life.
